    'Richard is a BD&L professional with over 12 years of experience and is curre
     ntly a Director within the European Business Development & Licensing (BD&L) 
     team of MSD, part of the global BD&L organisation. Within the team Richard i
     s the Search & Evaluation Lead for Neuroscience, Ophthalmology, and Cardio-r
     enal within the European and Middle East regions. Over the last 5 years he h
     as been involved in various transactions, including as joint S&E lead for th
     e $1.3bn acquisition of Eyebio, and collaborations with Curve Therapeutics a
     nd Proxygen. Prior to his time at MSD, Richard worked for 8 years in a succe
     ssion of roles at Oxford University Innovation, the technology transfer comp
     any of Oxford University. This included conducting multiple licence and opti
     on deals, managing a major collaboration with Evotec, and managing spinout f
     ormation. Richard has also spent time in consultancy and finance.  Richard h
     as a PhD in Molecular Biology and Master’s in Business both from the Univers
